Win Prizes as You Save
Do you need an extra incentive to save money? How about opening an account that allows you to enter to win up to $5,000. The Saver’s Sweepstakes account allows you to build up your savings, and enters you to win cash prizes on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
How Saver’s Sweepstakes Works
An entry is created for each $25 increase in your month-over-month account balance in your Saver’s Sweepstakes account. An entry allows you the chance to win:
- $25
- $100
- $1,000
- $5,000
Just over $81,000 in prizes will be awarded this year. More prizes will be available as more Wisconsin credit unions participate in the Saver’s Sweepstakes program. Apart from the state-wide program, two $25 prizes will be awarded exclusively to Sentry Credit Union members. Saver’s Sweepstakes Rules and Entry Limits
Prized-linked accounts are not authorized in all states, therefore only members who are residents of Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Illinois qualify for a Saver’s Sweepstakes account. Minors do not qualify for the Saver’s Sweepstakes account.
There are limits on the number of entries as follows: 6 entries maximum for monthly drawings, 18 entries maximum for quarterly drawings, 72 entries maximum for annual drawing.
The Saver’s Sweepstakes account is a restricted savings account designed to encourage savings. There are penalties associated with withdrawal. During the 12-month period after the account is opened, the first and second withdrawal will be subject to a $10 penalty. The account will be closed after the third withdrawal.
